Building an email in Canva is the easy part. Getting it into your sending platform without losing fidelity or wasting time? That's where things slow down. Export, import, rebuild, adjust. The gap between "designed" and "deployed" has been one of the quieter frustrations in email marketing.
Klaviyo has offered a Canva integration for a while now, letting you send designs to your Image Library. That works well for individual assets. But emails aren't just images. They're complete experiences with structure, layout, and intent. Sending them piece by piece defeats the purpose of building them in the first place.
Today, that changes. Our new Canva integration lets you send complete emails from Canva's email builder directly to your Klaviyo Email Template Library as HTML templates. Share in one click, no exporting, and no rebuilding. Design in Canva, send in Klaviyo.
“Creative and marketing teams often work in separate tools, which slows down the path from design to campaign launch,” says Andrew Bialecki, co-founder and co-CEO of Klaviyo. “Our enhanced integration with Canva makes it even easier for marketers to move from beautiful design to personalized customer engagement in just a few steps. Together, Canva and Klaviyo help brands bring creativity and data together to deliver better customer experiences.”
What the new Canva email integration does
This integration connects Canva's email builder to Klaviyo's Email Template Library. When you finish designing an email in Canva, you can push it directly to Klaviyo as an HTML template, ready to use in your next campaign or flow.
The process is simple: build your email in Canva, click to send it to Klaviyo, and it appears in your Template Library. From there, you can drop it into any campaign and send.
This is different from the existing Canva integration, which handles individual images and design assets. The new integration is specifically for complete email templates—the whole thing, not just the parts.
The integration is available to free and Pro Canva customers. If you use Canva and Klaviyo, you can connect them today.
"Canva is the AI content creation layer powering how businesses show up online," says Anwar Haneef, GM and Head of Ecosystem at Canva. "We handle the last mile of design, and by connecting directly with Klaviyo, marketers can take a polished, on-brand asset and immediately put it to work, reaching the right audience with a personalized message built to drive revenue."
How to use the integration
Getting started requires connecting your Canva account to your Klaviyo account. Once linked, the two platforms can communicate, and you can start sending emails directly.
Here's how it works in practice:
- Build your email in Canva. Use Canva's email builder to design your template with layout, images, and copy.
- Send to Klaviyo. When you're happy with the design, use the integration to push it to your Klaviyo account.
- Find it in your Template Library. The email appears in Klaviyo as an HTML template, ready to use.
- Add it to a campaign and send. Drop the template into any campaign, make any final adjustments, and hit send.

What’s next?
For now, the templates arrive as HTML in Klaviyo. The HTML is editable, so you can make changes directly in the code if needed. And the Klaviyo team is working on the ability to convert HTML templates into drag-and-drop format, which will add even more editing flexibility down the road.
Think of the current integration as the foundation. It gets your designs into Klaviyo without friction. What comes next will make them even more flexible once they're there.
