Klaviyo’s growth engine is working — and we’re looking for the person who makes it unstoppable.
The Senior Director, Growth Marketing is a rare seat — one where you have the scope to shape how a category-defining company acquires customers at scale, the resources to act on your convictions, and the cross-functional relationships to move fast. You’ll work in close partnership with product, campaigns, and digital to turn Klaviyo’s momentum into compounding growth.
This isn’t a channel management role. It’s a growth leadership role — for someone who sees the whole board, builds the plan, and drives the experiments that change the trajectory. If you’re energized by owning a number, building a team, and leaving your mark on how a great product grows, this is the job.
How you’ll make a difference:
- Own sign-up volume, new logo acquisition, and Growth ARR — and build the strategy, team, and operating rhythm to hit them consistently.
- Build an experimentation engine — a continuous test-and-learn cadence that turns Klaviyo’s scale into a structural advantage.
- Identify and build new sources of demand — partnerships, integrations, emerging platforms, and distribution channels that meet buyers where they already are and expand Klaviyo’s reach beyond owned channels.
- Lead Klaviyo’s growth team as an AI-first organization — actively building AI-powered workflows, running experiments with emerging tools, and raising the bar for what’s possible in how we acquire, convert, and expand customers. This isn’t about staying current; it’s about leading from the front.
- Shape the integrated growth plan — synthesizing what’s working across campaigns, paid media, digital, and product into a coherent, high-conviction strategy.
- Partner deeply with the Director of Growth in R&D to connect marketing motion with product-led acquisition — so the handoff from sign-up to activated customer is as tight as possible.
- Translate growth performance into clear, confident narratives for senior leadership — connecting sign-ups, ARR, and investment in a way that accelerates decision-making.
- Spot what’s next before it shows up in the numbers — surfacing risks, emerging opportunities, and the bets worth making before the window closes.
- Build and develop a team of growth experts who are sharp, fast, and genuinely motivated by the mission.
Who you are:
- 15+ years in growth, demand generation, or performance marketing, with at least 5 years leading senior, cross-functional teams.
- You’ve owned a growth number — not just contributed to one. You’ve had the target, felt the weight of it, and built the team and plan to hit it.
- Deep SaaS background, ideally in a PLG or hybrid environment — you understand how self-serve acquisition works and how marketing connects to ARR, not just pipeline.
- Fluent across the channel mix — paid media, SEO/AEO, lifecycle, web — without needing to run any of them. You know enough to push, enough to challenge, and enough to know when something’s off.
- Naturally collaborative and skilled at leading through influence — you thrive in matrixed environments where earning trust is how you get things done.
- Strong command of funnel analytics, attribution, and growth modeling — you run toward the data, not away from it.
- Already experimenting with AI in your work and excited about what’s coming — not waiting to be told it’s important.
- Exceptional at building operating rhythm — the cadences, reviews, and feedback loops that keep a growth team moving with speed and coherence.
- Someone who builds teams people want to be on.
