Recruitment fraud alert

Recruitment scams are on the rise, where scammers impersonate recruiters or hiring managers to trick individuals into sharing personal information or sending money. These scams often use fake job postings, lookalike domains, or unofficial communication channels with the purpose of stealing sensitive personal data or obtaining payment through fake “recruitment fees” or “application processing.” Klaviyo will only recruit candidates through its official process.

Official email domain
All genuine Klaviyo recruiter communications come from an @klaviyo.com email address, or in some cases, from a verified partner subdomain (for example, @guide.klaviyo.com).

Official career site
Klaviyo job opportunities are often shared across our trusted partner sites, but all applications are ultimately processed through our official career site at www.klaviyo.com/careers. If you click “Apply” on a partner site (such as LinkedIn, Indeed, or Welcome to the Jungle), you should be redirected to the klaviyo.com/careers domain to complete your application. Always verify that the final application form or page URL is hosted on klaviyo.com before submitting any personal information.

Authorized recruiting partners
Klaviyo partners with a select group of trusted recruiting and technology platforms that support our hiring process. These include job and employer brand platforms as well as verified recruiting technology providers such as interview and coding assessment tools.

Examples of verified partners include:

Glassdoor | Indeed | BuiltIn | LinkedIn (Premium & Limited Postings) | RepVue | Welcome to the Jungle | Greenhouse | CodeSignal | Guide | BrightHire | Handshake

It’s safe to apply or engage via these partners. That said, even legitimate platforms (like Linkedin) can be exploited with fake recruiter profiles or DMs. Always check the sender’s profile, activity, and connections for authenticity.

If something seems suspicious, you can always verify the posting at www.klaviyo.com/careers, and/or forward the message to abuse@klaviyo.com.

Tip: Always double-check the spelling of the website or email domain. Scammers often create lookalike domains (e.g., klavlyoe.com) to deceive candidates. Ensure the domain is spelled exactly klaviyo.com.

Klaviyo will never

  • Make job offers for jobs you haven’t applied to OR without a formal interview process.
  • Ask for payment, fees, or deposits at any stage.
  • Request banking details, credit card information, or passwords during the interview stage.
  • Communicate about job offers or interview details via WhatsApp, Telegram, or Instagram/Facebook/Tiktok DMs or public forums.
  • Use third-party sites that require a fee for access or applications.
  • Ask for photos or self-recorded videos to be sent in the interview process.

What to do if you suspect a scam
If you receive a message or offer that feels suspicious:

  1. Trust your instincts — do not share personal information or continue the conversation.
  2. Report it by forwarding the message to abuse@klaviyo.com with the subject line “Recruitment Fraud.”
  3. Flag the message as spam on the platform where it appeared (LinkedIn, email, text, etc.).
  4. Validate any posting directly at www.klaviyo.com/careers.

Disclaimer: Klaviyo bears no responsibility for fraudulent offers or third-party misrepresentations or any damages resulting from interactions with unauthorized parties claiming to represent Klaviyo. We encourage all applicants to stay vigilant and confirm opportunities only through our official channels.
