Klaviyo App for ChatGPT: How the integration works and how to use it

Set as Preferred Source

What is the Klaviyo app for ChatGPT?

The Klaviyo app for ChatGPT lets you view and analyze your Klaviyo data without leaving ChatGPT. You ask about campaigns and flows in plain language, get interactive tables and performance cards back, and jump into Klaviyo when you want the full report.

It's an open AI integration built on the Klaviyo MCP Server, which securely brings your account data into ChatGPT, so ChatGPT is working from your live Klaviyo data, not guessing. The same MCP Server powers the Claude app and any MCP-compatible tool, which matters if your team isn't ChatGPT-only.

Why it matters

Klaviyo is the autonomous B2C CRM: data, AI, and channels in one place, delivering 1:1 personalization in real time. The ChatGPT app puts that same real-time customer data where you're already asking questions, so you can review campaign and flow performance without opening the Klaviyo dashboard.

Every interaction, purchase, and preference, unified across marketing, service, and analytics and fed by 350+ integrations. That's the data your campaigns already run on. Now it's a question away in chat.

How the Klaviyo app for ChatGPT connects to your account

What happens when you ask about campaign performance

Ask how this week's campaigns did and you get an interactive table: sends and deliveries, open and click rates, attributed revenue, and status (sending, sent, or scheduled), with deep links into Klaviyo for the full report. Select Analyze on any row for a performance card including key KPIs, week-over-week comparisons, micro-insights, and suggested next steps.

What happens when you ask about flow performance

Flows work the same way: sends and deliveries, open and click rates, revenue trends, and how engagement and conversion shift over time. Select Analyze to open a flow deep-dive with step-by-step performance.

How the Analyze card builds its recommendations

Ask the app what you should do next or why performance changed this week in a prompt, and you'll get practical guidance such as timing recommendations, testing ideas, audience considerations, and structural insights about your flows.

What you can ask beyond the campaign and flow cards

Because the app runs on the Klaviyo MCP Server, you can call any MCP-supported endpoint in plain language, even when there's no specialized card for it — "Draft a new email campaign using last week's offer," or "Create a template for a VIP promotion." Only campaign and flow reporting comes back as structured cards; everything else runs the way it would against the MCP Server directly.

What the Klaviyo app for ChatGPT won't do

The app stays inside the same boundaries as the Klaviyo MCP Server. It won't send campaigns, build or edit flows, create or send SMS, modify segments or lists, or draw charts beyond the tables you see in ChatGPT. Ask for something out of bounds and ChatGPT will talk it through — but it won't act on your account.

How to get started

You'll need an Owner, Admin, or Manager role in Klaviyo to connect.

  1. Confirm ChatGPT Apps support. Use a ChatGPT interface where Apps show up. OpenAI decides which devices and environments get them — if you don't see the Apps section, your interface may not support it yet.
  2. Connect Klaviyo. In the Apps sidebar, pick Klaviyo, sign in, and approve the requested scopes. Most endpoints are read-only; some allow draft and template operations. Once connected, the Klaviyo app appears in your sidebar.
  3. Ask a performance question. Start simple: "How did my campaigns perform this week?" or "Show me the top-performing flows from the last 7 days."
  4. Open Analyze for the deep dive. Select Analyze on a campaign or flow row when you want comparisons and next steps.
  5. Check Klaviyo before you act. Validate key metrics in Klaviyo, and ask ChatGPT to cite the campaign IDs, flow names, or dates behind its analysis before you change anything live.
