Every year, BigCommerce brings together its 200-plus partners—technology providers and marketing agencies—that help ecommerce brands grow.
This year, I headed to Austin, TX with fellow members of the Klaviyo team to take part in BigCommerce’s annual Partner Palooza—an invitation-only event for BigCommerce’s premier technology partners. There, we connected with BigCommerce employees who answered product questions and we brainstormed additional ways to collaborate.
Following the Palooza, we participated in the platform’s Partner Summit—an event that brings together members of BigCommerce’s broader partner community. There, we learned from BigCommerce’s product and partner marketing teams who discussed the community’s progress in 2019 and guided us through their 2020 strategic roadmap.
Many premier enterprise brands and retailers like SoloStove, Skullcandy, Yumi and Revelry, work with BigCommerce as their ecommerce platform of choice because of how flexible the platform is and how simple and fast it is to implement. Not only does BigCommerce make it possible for brands to integrate the many different sources of data they collect, but it also offers a secure and scalable infrastructure that helps brands grow.
We had a great time in Austin connecting with the BigCommerce team, fellow partners, and celebrating the amazing growth of BigCommerce’s customer ecosystem.
We even had the honor of being honored by BigCommerce!
The Innovation Integration Award
As part of its partner awards, BigCommerce selected Klaviyo as the recipient of its 2019 Innovation Integration Award.
Earlier this year, we overhauled Klaviyo’s integration with BigCommerce and it’s paid off big for our mutual customers—they’ve seen a major lift in both conversions and revenue.
Our friends at BigCommerce shared a bit about why they selected Klaviyo for this particular honor.
"Klaviyo has leaned into our partnership in a huge way, overhauling their integration using BigCommerce APIs and webhooks. Their updates make email marketing even simpler, including features like automated follow-up on cart or browsing behaviors and back-in-stock automation."
Curious about what’s new with the improved integration and how brands are using it to grow? Here are some highlights (you can deep dive here):
1 | Instant, real-time communication with online shoppers
Klaviyo integrates with BigCommerce’s new cart webhook, which lets customers use any cart data in real-time. Brands can set up messages to their shoppers about all cart-related activities, delivering perfectly timed abandoned cart messages based on SKU, total cart value, and more.
2 | Faster set-up
Klaviyo also integrates with BigCommerce’s new Scripts API, which automatically injects Klaviyo’s web tracking code into your store on BigCommerce. By simply checking a box during setup, you can immediately see web tracking data in Klaviyo. You can use this to segment and target visitors based on what they’re doing on the site, like sending automated follow-up message to window shoppers.
3 | Automated back in stock notifications
Klaviyo also integrates with BigCommerce’s Catalogue API, which tracks your inventory levels in BigCommerce and Klaviyo. When any of your items go out of stock, you can use Klaviyo to automatically create a signup form that appears next to the item to let shoppers know they can subscribe to learn when the item will be available again. When you restock your inventory, you can easily send a campaign to those in your back in stock segment for that specific product.
Automation’s the name of the game and with these improvements to our integration with BigCommerce, you can now work smarter and not harder to grow your business.
