What happens when you combine over 40 of America’s most sought after fashion brands, some of the most recognizable leaders from the direct-to-consumer (DTC) world, and three leading technology platforms that are reshaping the ecommerce landscape? You get the first-ever, five-day ecommerce flash sale that’s projected to raise over one million dollars for Baby2Baby and Know Your Rights Camp.  

BestKeptSecret (BKS) was founded by fashion industry veterans Maxwell Osborne, Andrew Rosen, Dao-Yi Chow, Ben Fischman, and Jens Gredenames that are famous for founding remarkable brands like Public School, Theory, M.Gemi, and Frame. On the heels of the pandemic, this innovative team saw an opportunity to help solve the fashion industry’s global inventory overflow while also raising a significant amount of money for charitable partners Baby2Baby and Know Your Rights Camp. They dreamt up a first-of-its-kind, five-day digital flash sale, essentially curating highly sought-after premium and luxury fashion brands at 50 to 80 percent off traditional prices. 

A consumer who wants to participate in the sale has two options. They can decide to pay an entrance fee of $25 (all of which is donated to charity) that’ll grant them first access to inventory from over 40 participating brands. All items within the sale also have a charitable donation tied to them of one, three, or five dollars, so for folks who choose not to purchase an early access ticket, they’ll still shop knowing their purchases will have an impact. 

What does this have to do with Klaviyo?

When the founding partners of BestKeptSecret approached Klaviyo about participating and helping raise over one million dollars for charity while working with some of the most well-known names in the DTC space, it was a no brainer. As part of our sponsorship of the digital event, we’re donating the Klaviyo marketing platform and SMS functionality to the organizers to help them increase their reach, build relationships with consumers who are participating in the sale, and ultimately help the overall BKS team raise as much money as possible for Baby2Baby and Know Your Rights Camp. 

Additionally, Klaviyo is helping the team kick off their charitable goal by committing to a $100,000 donation match.
