Klaviyo announces Emily McEvilly as its new Chief Customer Officer, reinforcing the company’s focus on putting customers first. The post outlines her background, why she joined Klaviyo, and how she will continue the work started by her predecessor, Kim Peretti.

  • Customer-first focus: Klaviyo emphasizes that prioritizing customers guides its product development, community support, and long-term strategy.
  • New CCO appointment: Emily McEvilly joins Klaviyo as Chief Customer Officer, bringing over 25 years of customer success leadership experience.
  • Extensive experience: McEvilly has led customer organizations at companies including Workday, Accenture, Oracle, and most recently OneTrust.
  • Motivation to join: She cites a passion for working directly with customers and alignment with Klaviyo’s mission to empower creators and deepen brand-customer relationships.
  • Leadership transition: McEvilly succeeds retiring Chief Customer Officer Kim Peretti, with Klaviyo expressing gratitude for Peretti’s contributions and confidence in continued customer success.

At Klaviyo, our number one value is simple: always put our customers first. This isn’t just something we say – it’s at the heart of everything we do. When our customers thrive, we thrive – and that belief drives how we build our products, support our community, and think about what to do next. Whether it’s through our newly launched customer hub, The Klaviyo Power Up, or our relentless push to innovate with quality, our mission is clear: we’re here to support our customers every step of the way.

That’s why I’m excited to share some big news. We’ve just welcomed Emily McEvilly as our new Chief Customer Officer. Emily is a seasoned pro with over 25 years of experience leading customer success for top Fortune 500 companies like Workday, Accenture, and Oracle. She’s also someone who truly embodies what it means to put customers first.

Emily joins us from OneTrust, a global privacy, AI Governance, and risk management software platform, where she served as the Chief Customer Officer. Prior to that she had an 11-year tenure at Workday where she most recently held the Chief Customer Officer role, building the customer experience organization and helping to drive revenue from $130M to $5B.

When I asked Emily why she wanted to join Klaviyo, she said:

“I’ve been on the front lines with customers for the past 25+ years in my career – it’s my true passion. I’m energized by connecting with customers, understanding deeply what they need to be successful, and partnering with my teams to ensure we’re delivering true value for our customers. Klaviyo not only has a clear north star of empowering creators to own their destiny – it’s also instrumental in helping brands deepen their relationships with their customers and driving the revenue that fuels their success. That’s a powerful combination. I’m so looking forward to working with the talented team at Klaviyo to continue to help our customers grow.”

Emily is stepping into this role following the retirement of Kim Peretti, who has served as our Chief Customer Officer since 2022. I’m so grateful for everything Kim did to build and strengthen our customer relationships during her time here, and we’re excited to carry that forward with Emily at the helm.

We’re more committed than ever to making sure our customers’ experience with Klaviyo is nothing short of exceptional – and are confident Emily will help us continue to ensure our customers thrive on our platform.
