Why You Should Join the Editors Team

The Editors Platform team is building the foundation for how Klaviyo users create content across email and mobile. This team is responsible for the core editors across our product, enabling users to craft personalized marketing content and create dynamic experiences driven by real-time data. As our customers' needs evolve and AI becomes increasingly embedded into content creation, the Editors team plays a pivotal role in enabling scalable, intuitive, and intelligent tools.

As an Engineering Manager for the Editors team, you’ll lead a group of fullstack engineers with a strong frontend focus. You'll be responsible for guiding execution on major new editing capabilities, including personalization tools, AI-powered content generation, and seamless in-canvas editing. This role blends technical leadership, architectural direction, and people management. You'll work closely with Product, Design, and other engineering teams to extend our best-in-class editing experiences to new surfaces and user journeys.

How You Will Make a Difference

  • Lead a team of engineers delivering fullstack, customer-facing features used across Klaviyo’s editor surfaces
  • Drive architectural decisions and scalable component systems that power personalized and AI-enhanced content creation
  • Guide cross-platform editor development, including shared infrastructure across web and mobile
  • Collaborate with Product and Design to translate vision into technical execution and exceptional user experiences
  • Grow and mentor engineers, fostering a high-performance and inclusive team culture
  • Contribute to code reviews, design discussions, and ongoing technical excellence

Who You Are

  • 8+ years of software engineering experience with strong frontend and backend skills
  • 3+ years of engineering management experience, ideally managing fullstack teams.
  • Deep experience with frontend technologies like React, TypeScript, and state management tools such as Redux
  • Comfortable contributing to backend systems using Python and Django (or equivalent)
  • Skilled in system design, reusable component architecture, and scalable frontend platforms
  • Familiarity with GraphQL and REST APIs, DevOps tooling, and cloud infrastructure (AWS)
  • Proven track record delivering complex features in fast-paced, product-led environments
  • Clear communicator, collaborative leader, and committed to continuous team improvement
  • You’ve already experimented with AI in work or personal projects, and you’re excited to dive in and learn fast. You’re hungry to responsibly explore new AI tools and workflows, finding ways to make your work smarter and more efficient.

Our salary range reflects the cost of labor across various U.S. geographic markets. The range displayed below reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all our US locations. The base salary offered for this position is determined by several factors, including the applicant’s job-related skills, relevant experience, education or training, and work location.

In addition to base salary, our total compensation package may include participation in the company’s annual cash bonus plan, variable compensation (OTE) for sales and customer success roles, equity, sign-on payments, and a comprehensive range of health, welfare, and wellbeing benefits based on eligibility.
