- Only 20 percent of people don’t plan to make purchases for summer. Most say they’ll buy the same items they usually buy for the season and others plan to buy new items.
People are having a hard time finding the food and beverage items they need since they’re out of stock.
Sixty percent of people surveyed said they’ve had trouble finding at least one food or beverage item due to availability. Meat was the most common item that people can’t find.
Most people are still buying their Father’s Day gifts online.
Forty-one percent of people said they’re planning to buy Father’s Day gifts online while 37 percent said they’re to buy gifts through a combination of in-store and online purchases. Only 11 percent said they’re planning to buy gifts this year in-store only and 10 percent are still unsure.
Most people plan to buy new goods for the summer.
Only 20 percent of people said they’re not planning to buy anything for summer. Forty-two percent said they’re planning to buy the same things they buy for summer every year—typically goods like sunscreen and summer clothes. Thirty-nine percent said they’re planning to buy things for summer that they don’t usually buy, including anything from stocking up on items in case the pandemic worsens to good for seasonal at-home activities like basketball hoops and inflatable pools.
