  • Slightly more men than women said they plan to get haircuts as soon as restrictions ease in their areas.

For those who have gifts planned for Father’s Day, clothes, food, and electronics are the most popular.

With Father’s Day still a few weeks away, not everyone knows what they’re getting for gifts yet. But for those who do, 33 percent said clothes and accessories, specifically funny t-shirts and watches. Food was another popular choice with people planning to order specialty meals to cakes to fresh fish for Father’s Day gifts.

Men are ready to get their hair cut.

The most common thing men said they plan to do after restrictions ease in their areas is get a haircut. Thirty-five percent of men said this was one of the things they plan to do, compared to just 28 percent of women. Slightly more women than men—31 percent to 27 percent—said they would go shopping as soon as restrictions are eased.

While many are buying the same things as usual for summer, others say they’re getting something completely different.

Seventy percent of respondents said they’re buying pretty much the same as usual for the summer. Many said they are buying things like shorts, swimwear, and sunscreen, which they buy most years. Thirty percent said they’re buying something new. For some, they’re buying items like tents and fishing gear to try out new summer activities. As one person explained, “I don’t normally do much during the summer months, but after being quarantined for two months, I want to get out more.”
