Well-designed email templates can significantly increase customer engagement and revenue. The challenge comes when designing a beautiful email requires more time and creative energy than you have to spare.

Klaviyo makes it easy to deliver powerful messages to your customers. Great templates are one crucial element towards making that possible. We offer brand-new templates, optimized for ecommerce, all available in our Template Library.

Templates, Ready For Your Brand

Visit the Email Templates section of Klaviyo, and select “Create Template”. In addition to the templates you’ve created yourself, you can see the new designs.

All of the images included are Creative Commons / Open licensed, so you can use them if you love them, or customize them to fit your needs. However you build your emails, whether by going directly to the email templates page, or crafting a template as a part of a campaign or flow, you’ll also have access to the new Template Library.

If you’ve already built a few core layouts that you like to use, you can see them in the My Templates tab. This way, you can clone one and get a head start on building a template that looks just the way you want. For those who prefer to hand code their emails, the Import Template page is available to you just as before.

This update is just one of many things we have in the works to make creating beautiful emails a fast and worry-free process. As we continue to expand our options, be sure to keep an eye out for even more pre-designed templates, layouts and styles coming to the Template Library soon. We’ll be continuing to offer new options here on a regular basis.

  • Hi Richard,
I’m so glad you’re loving the template library and our platform in general (The Engineers will be crazy excited when I show them this). We’ve got more templates waiting in the wings that will be added soon + a few cool, new features in the works as well.

  • This is amazing! For the ecommerce merchants we work with, this has always been a hurdle to develop a template that matches their design aesthetics. We can now have them pick one of the templates to start with and help them customize it for their specific brand. Would there be a way for us to import or upload our own templates that has the same drag and drop capabilities? (I know there’s a way to do an HTML import, but it doesn’t have re-usable drag/drop functions).

  • Thanks Joseph! We’re continually adding more templates, so if you don’t see a style analogous to your customers’ branding, let us know!

To answer your question about providing your clients with your own “themed” templates – You can definitely create a hybrid template that meshes custom HTML with drag-n-drop functionality. This will require some special HTML tags (I linked instructions below). When your customers are creating a campaign or flow, they can select the template you’ve created and move/customize your HTML blocks in our drag-n-drop template editor.
