Gather preferences with a single click
We’ve released a new dynamic template tag that allows your recipients to update a profile property in Klaviyo whenever they click a link or button in an email.
All you need to do is specify which property to update, the value to update, and where the recipient should go after clicking the button. You can then use this profile property to build segments, split flows, build lookalike Facebook audiences, and more!

You can use this to collect preferences from new signups so you can later personalize what you send them. What does this mean for your business? Read on to find out.
3 ways to let your subscribers tell you what they want
In this first example, new signups are asked about what kind of socks they’re looking for. When someone clicks one of the two buttons, they’ll be redirected to a “thank you” page.
Meanwhile, their profile will be updated with their sock preference — so that you can send them sales, updates, and other types of emails aligned with what they like.
This second example is perfect for you if your business has several distinctly different customer personas. Let them tell you who they are from the start, so that you can send them content aligned with their language, goals, and interests:
Finally, you can offer your subscribers an opportunity to choose how often they hear from you. Understand what email cadence each subscriber is looking for, and then make sure you don’t send to them too often:
