Earlier today at Klaviyo:BOS, we announced two impactful features that are coming soon to the Klaviyo platform: SMS and Customer Analytics. Each of these features will be available in the coming months with more details coming soon. In the meantime, let’s learn a little bit more about them.
At Klaviyo:BOS, we introduced Customer Analytics—an advanced reporting tool that provides the insights you need at both the customer-level and SKU-level to grow your ecommerce store.
“From the very beginning, Klaviyo has been an amazing place to store your data. It’s baked into our DNA. But a common question we heard was, ‘Can I run an analysis on that data?’ Today, I’m excited to announce Customer Analytics native on the Klaviyo platform,” said Jake Cohen, Klaviyo’s director of product.
Jake added, “We heard two things from customers. People want to stay up to date with general reporting to see what’s going on with their business and they want to see trends to figure out why certain things are happening. We built a product that’s perfect for both. We can combine the power of our segmentation, which is second to none, with these custom analytics and we’ll continue to invest in this area to ensure that, no matter if you have hundreds of customers or millions, it’ll be a high-performing, fast, and valuable tool to help you get the insights you need to continue growing your business.”

Klaviyo’s Customer Analytics will allow you to take the questions you have about your business and turn them into answers that generate growth opportunities—without needing another piece of software or an advanced degree to make it work.
But this wasn’t the only news announced at Klaviyo:BOS. We also announced the much-anticipated SMS in Klaviyo feature, which leverages best-in-class segmentation and automation to communicate with your customers via text message.
“We also heard you wanted more owned channels that weren’t just email. We already support owned channels beyond email like push notifications for iOS (and we’re working on them for Android), and push notifications in personalized forms. Now, we’ve built SMS into Klaviyo. As we were starting with this, though, people told us they’d only use SMS on Klaviyo if it’s a Klaviyo-level product. And that’s excatly what we created. With SMS in Klaviyo, you can get started with the click of a button.”

By using SMS in Klaviyo, you’ll no longer need to use and manage multiple tools to communicate with your customers across channels. With Klaviyo, you can create and personalize the customer experience across channels: email, SMS, web, and app push notifications. The best part? You can start sending text messages to your customers and subscribers in just two clicks.
After showing the audience a live demo of the product, Jake said “In the span of three minutes, we set up a form, published it live, configured SMS on an account, created an experience, and started delivering it to our customers. You can’t get better than that.”
