Klaviyo is seeking an AI Systems & Solutions Architect to accelerate how our Global Services organization — including Onboarding, Professional Services, and Education — leverages AI to operate smarter and deliver more impact.
In this role, you’ll partner across teams to identify opportunities for AI and automation, prototype and validate solutions, and help evolve tool MVPs into robust, full-stack systems. You’ll work closely with a partner to develop and refine the technical and operational processes behind our AI systems—ensuring we build tools that are not only effective but also accessible and scalable. You’ll also play a key role in upskilling teams on AI literacy and helping Klaviyo evolve thoughtfully and effectively with emerging technologies.
This role sits at the intersection of solutions architecture, internal tooling, and applied AI. We're looking for a strong technical contributor who can both build and think strategically—someone who’s confident in architecting systems, collaborating cross-functionally, and applying AI in practical, scalable ways. You don’t need to be an expert in every area from day one, but you should bring solid engineering skills and a systems mindset that lets you quickly ramp up and drive impact.
This role sits within the Education team and will serve as a connective tissue across the broader Services org. You’ll be part of a small, collaborative team—this isn’t a solo role. You’ll partner closely with a fellow systems engineer and program manager to design, build, and scale together.
How You’ll Make a Difference:
Program Strategy & Discovery
- Partner with Services leaders to identify high impact areas that could benefit from AI or automation
- Prioritize opportunities based on efficiency gains and impact
- Translate ambiguous ideas into clear program roadmaps with defined outcomes and milestones
Technical Prototyping & Productization
- Prototype and maintain lightweight AI tools—such as GPT-powered assistants, agents, and automations—integrated into team workflows using platforms like Streamlit or Supabase
- Build internal tools using Python frameworks like Streamlit or Flask, and support more robust solutions using full-stack technologies like JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, FastAPI, and GraphQL
- Use tools like Python, Zapier, Notion AI, and APIs to build and connect systems—or collaborate with technical teams when needed
- Design systems that can scale—ideally with experience supporting real-time tools, user sessions, and interactivity at scale
- Incorporate effective QA, observability, and performance monitoring practices to ensure stability in production environments
- Validate prototypes through usage data and feedback, then lead the productization and scaling of successful solutions
- Work with SQL and NoSQL databases for large-scale internal data operations
Enablement & AI Literacy
- Develop clear documentation, onboarding guides, and training to ensure successful adoption of tools
- Help develop intake systems that enable our stakeholders to request support, submit ideas, and track progress efficiently
- Lead enablement sessions and workshops to grow AI fluency across the Services org
- Curate best practices and use cases to help teams think differently about what’s possible with AI
- Stay current on generative AI and automation trends — and assess relevance for Global Services
Who You Are:
- A systems thinker and builder with a strong technical foundation — comfortable using off-the shelf AI and automation tools, but knowledgeable about custom solutions
- Experienced in rapid prototyping, and skilled at taking MVPs to scalable, maintainable solutions
- Proficient in or have experience with full-stack development
- Clear communicator and cross-functional collaborator who can translate technical ideas to non-technical audiences
- Confident managing programs from discovery through rollout and iteration
- Excited by ambiguity, complexity, and building things that make teams faster and smarter
- You enjoy working alongside other builders, sharing responsibility, and leaning on teammates with complementary skills to get things done.
Preferred skills:
- 4–8+ years of experience in program management, solutions engineering, internal tooling, or similar roles
- Demonstrated technical skills in areas like scripting, API use, AI prompt engineering, or automation tooling
- Experience implementing AI-powered or automated solutions that improved team workflows or customer delivery
- Familiarity with Global Services functions — onboarding, education, or consulting — a plus
- Experience with site reliability practices; past experience in a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) role or similar is a plus
